This pencil case was designed for a 3D print competition in 2013 sponsored by Thingiverse.com and inspired by my grandmother's soda straw dispenser that I remember as a kid. The competition called for 3D printable designs for back to school supplies. The parts are designed for support-free printing on a FFM printer. The prototypes were printed in PLA plastic with a Makerbot 2. They assemble with snap-fits and require no glue. The pencil topper is just an added bonus.
